On Tuesday evening October 6, Linda Vista Annandale Association and San Rafael Neighborhoods Association sponsored a candidate forum for the PUSD Board of Education District 7. Councilmember Steve Madison took a short break from the City Council meeting to attend and introduce the moderator, Justin Chapman. After both Cynthia Torres and Dennis McNamara gave a brief overview of their platforms, Justin asked each candidate a series of questions. The topics included their view of the district’s challenges, financial state of PUSD, declining enrollment, school consolidation, San Rafael Elementary and the future of the Linda Vista school site.
