Updates for San Rafael Elementary School Remediation

The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) will hold a hybrid public meeting to discuss three Pasadena Unified School District sites following the Eaton Wildfire in January 2025. Post-fire soil investigation samples were collected at these sites to evaluate potential impacts to shallow surface soils resulting from the wildfire and subsequent weather events. The testing focused on lawns, planter beds, and play spaces.

This meeting will take place on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm:
